EDGUY Singer Comments On Upcoming BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Headlining Appearance

April 13, 2006

EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet has commented on the recent announcement that the band will be headline Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival on July 14.

Said Sammet: "It's a real great thing to return to England as a headlining act. In the past the British market has been quite tough, but we always believed that a country that literally invented metal, spandex and sock-stuffing can't ignore it in the long-term. The fans seem to be aware that we are out there and they seem to enjoy how uncool, unhip and out of vogue we are. They are with us and we feel honoured and happy to come back. We'll give our best to put on the hell of an entertaining show. And to look, talk and behave as ludicrous as always."

EDGUY are continuing to tour in support of their latest album, "Rocket Ride", which entered the German national album chart at position No. 8 upon its release in late January. The CD also came in at No. 8 in Sweden, No. 25 in Finland, No. 32 in Hungary, No. 48 in Japan, No. 50 in Switzerland, No. 50 in Austria, No. 79 in Norway and No. 81 in Italy.
